Jewish Interfaith Marriage
Jewish Interfaith marriages are not always easy. There will be challenges – questions of how children should be raised, whether to go to church or synagogue or neither, and many more issues that you might not have in a “traditional” couple with two Jewish partners.
It is important to note that nearly half of all marriages involving Jews are intermarriages. Please visit Interfaith Family which houses the Internet’s largest resource for couples considering a Jewish Interfaith marriage.
Interfaith marriages, like all marriages, require constant negotiation and communication. You may have to compromise in some ways, perhaps by spending Xmas with your partner’s family, or mixing different traditions together. Please do not lose site of the fact the love is more important than cultural background, and if you work at it, you can have a successful relationship.
